This is interesting and you'll get different answers, so I'll start being I'm the first to answer on this thread. I'd go for number three but I'd use a cleanser polish first.
If doing option 3 I would use cleanser fluid first after decontamination and claying as I will like to use a finishing polish by machine on the cleanest possible paint, the cleanser polish after would be to mask what is left behind, make sense?
Glare Micro Cut then finish with Professional Polish + is my first choice.
If the swirls are a bit more than "light" then you could add in Glare Spider.
Glare products are simply layered one on top of another so there's no need to panel wipe.
Top off with the wax of your choice if you feel like it. Probably no need .
If you fancy something a bit more "traditional" then Scholl S20 should deal with light swirls probably on a purple Scholl spider pad (can go up to a Blue pad if needed).

Being as I do have Glare in my kitbag, I'd be following something similar to what Andy outlines. I'd probably use S20 or even S3 (or whatever compound you might have to hand) to hit any RIDS on a spot pad, not to remove but reduce their appearance, then go over with the Glare or a finishing polish.
As another thought, Carpro Essence would seem to be worth a go - not used it myself but chongo raves about it
I have exactly the same , some light swirls. I will be using britemax blackmax with a finishing pad . This combo has done the job before .
I don’t see the point of doing a 2 stage with heavy cutting for light damage
I would remove the light swirls but wouldn't worry about anything deeper, leaving plenty of clear coat for several more goes in the future.
Daily drivers are going to get dinged up at the supermarket so not much point going for 100%.
