"NO WASH" sign

Just gonna make up some signs as my car will be going to bmw soon. What do you write on the sign?! I was thinking, "if you wash this car i will shoot you"!!!!!

Just do what I do and leave it in so that the paintwork looks like a mirror, they don't dare touch it when I do that. xD

I just asked them when I dropped it off and left a message on the dashboard saying please do not wash. It was clean ish anyway but it did the trick, came back in the same state as I left it.

Tell them you will rip there heads off and S**t in the hole you've made if they wash it !!!! LOL.

Failing that just tell them politely "NOT TO WASH CAR" and leave a note on dash to say same.

Works a treat.

A simple 'Do not Wash' should work, and make 5 or 6 copies for all 4 outsides and the inside as well.

The car wash jockeys don't respond well to verbal directions and the inside maintenance guys often forget to communicate the verbal requests to the outside.

Only signs make it really obvious, and I'd even consider adding 'Legal Action Pending if Washed'.

Hit them with both barrels so there's no confusion.

I seriously doubt the General Manager of the business has those guys wash his car and you'll want the same courtesy the boss enjoys.

Good luck,
-John C.

Re these above, put simply, I hope you are joking!

They may indeed not wash the car however I could almost guarantee you that your car will be revved up a few times in neutral, spun round the block at full throtle for "testing purposes", or general discare when working on it if you take that attitude with them.

You really should be as polite as possible, they will have many ways of getting back at you if you have a bad attitude with them that you would never find out, you are best being as nice to your mechanic as possible. If you really want to get the message down you could put

"please do not clean under any circumstances - the car has just been polished for an upcoming motor show, thanks."

I would suggest a sign with pictures rather than any wording, do a search on here as I asked for a sign back last autumn. Be warned that most dealers will just wash it anyway rather than make a decision on whether it needs one or not.

I watched my local dealer washing other cars using a blade!!! I always leave the sign on the dash.
