Nice to see a couple of good unmolested examples.
Sold mine in October I'd had it 3 years did 6k miles in it and sold it for neary £2k more than I paid for it.

Yes, prices are on the rise for sure.
I was lucky enough to find a 2005 (04-05 generally the sweet spot as it has all the facelift benefits, but without the ridiculous tax - £308 vs £520 for post March 06 cars). Only has 21k on it, and the way I'm going that isn't going to increase quickly!

Feels huge compared to my Elise, but way more civilised.

I bet that wasn't cheap to buy, lovely low mileage though.

I can't fit in an Elise I changed my S2k for a Z4 E89

Thanks guys - took 6 months to find through an owners club wanted ad,

The Elise isn't bad once you're in, it's the getting in, and even more getting out, that can be a pain, a couple of times early on I flopped out onto the petrol station forecourt - embarrassing!

Z89 is a great car - I did look at a couple of Z4Ms before deciding an S2000 was really what I wanted. The servicing costs on the Z4M seemed lively, and £540 tax too - hate paying through the nose for tax. What an engine though.

Considered the Z4M but wanted something newer as we drive to Italy each year
Hence I went for the E89 but got the 35i so the lovely 6 cylinder twin turbo.
It's not a sports car like the S2000 but it does make for a good GT car.
I drove the S2000 to Italy twice it was fantastic driving through the alps.

In danger of taking this thread off on a tangent Gaffa! but I'd love to hear about those road trips as I'm definitely going to take it across the channel next spring - Route Napoleon is definitely on the list.

The 35i is a belter, a friend used to have one, so smooth and deceptively rapid. Nice.

Great job on the detailing MGJ92 , Honda paint is not the easiest.
I was a little afraid of mine, the paint tends to be thin and soft, so I only dared use low abrasive compounds and soft pads. So never really achieved 100% correction
