Back in the game after two years

So two years ago, my pressure washer gave up (Nilfisk c120) and I was a few months away from getting married and moving into our first home.

Prior to that, I used to wash my Golf GTI pretty much every week in rain or shine (but not snow or ice). After getting married, I managed to wash the car about four times over the two years!

The car has been back from the bodyshop - one of the neighbours didn't like it much and felt it could do with a big dent so he reversed his 4x4 into it as I drove past.

The car is the cleanest it has been over the two years and I've treated myself to a new pressure washer - E140 (couldn't quite stretch to the P150). I've been lurking on here on/off but missing out a lot of the new stuff.

Thought I'd post to say hello and looking forward to getting back into detailing.

Thanks guys. Did my first quick detail of 2017 and my first time using a pressure washer in two years. Simple snowfoam, rinse and 2BM wash and towel dry.

The main problem I had was getting the PW to work. Bought another nilfosk, this time the E140.3. Didn't seem to want to work on an extension cord which meant using an indoor socket, which limited how much hose I had to play with. Have ordered an adaptor so I can use my qwasher hose. Also had to swap the snowfoam lance connector since the old nilfisk one doesn't fit.

well there's the snowfoam-lance-or-sprayer argument that's going on. And I've learnt about clay mitts. Seems there's been a few developments in the last couple of years.

It was definitely a strange experience using the pressure washer. Maybe because of the power or flow. Hopefully I'll get used to it in time.

Welcome back.

There has development in the last few years especially with polishing but there are still plenty of older products which are just as good as the new fancy ones
