It was the piston rings that failed in the old engine. The cylinder bores were glazed.

The inlet is a copy of the rs2 inlet which is very hard to get now. So these were made by a chap on cliosport.

Well went out to the Clio yesterday and click. Starter motor has gone. Great.
Off to gsf to get one. They had one on the shelf so I brought it ready for fitting on Sunday.
So it took me about 40 minutes to fit. Wasn't too bad to fit. Unbolted the manifold made life easier. A guy said to me when I was doing my apprenticeship if it makes it easier to remove something then remove it instead of struggling.
It was removed all from the top and refitted back through the top. The Clio now starts on the button.
Here's some pics.

Right so today I changed the oil and filter with titan race pro oil. So that's the running in procedure done. So it can finally be taken to the limiter if I want now.
I also fitted my wheel spacers from pure motorsport.
If some of you may remember my silver 182 which got written off had a set of turini wheels. Which I have now just got back from south west wheel repairs. They are awesome. They were refurbished in the Clio cup grey colour and the finish is spot on. They were coated with artdeshine artdewheel. Which I got from a very good friend on mine. I know he will be pleased that it went to good use. This product is easy to use and removal is just as easy. It leaves a very slick finish and beads like crazy. Obsidian detailing have a sale on at the moment so grab it whilst it's on offer. Hopefully Matt will have some left.
Here's some pics.

The Clio went back to SJM automotive to have the fuelling double checked as it has now completed 1000 miles since the rebuild. Dan at SJM checked the fuelling and it was spot on. So whilst it was there I asked if he could rolling Road it for me to see what power it is actually putting out. He is the graph below.
