Just too cold to clean?

Just got back inside after trying to wash the mrs's car but the water is freezing on contact.

Got 2 sets of halo's trying to warm the panels but to no avail.

Going to remove the wheels and do them in the shed

Was up for a cleaning day aswell

I'm feeling your pain

The temperature here has barely got above freezing for over week. There is no point even trying to wash the car in this weather - but it is really minging.

I share my driveway with a neighbour and they are not going to be happy if i spray water everywhere that turns into sheet ice over night.

Its really cold here too - just slightly above freezing and SO MUCH snow on the ground that it makes it a no brainer - the central heating wins! Car caked in salt / grime as well

I was orginally planning to clean my car today so its all nice a clean for christmas but there isn't a hope in hell of me being able to do that. I tried de-icing my windscreen eariler with warm water but within a couple of seconds it had frozen again. I even had ice on the inside! Should warm up at the week end though which will be welcome relief for me. Should give me a chance to get all the salt and muc off it.

Hose hooked up to the hot tap works well. Inital rinse down with this warms my car up nicely. Toyed with the idea of hooking up the pressure washer to it as well but thought better of it.

Luckily the missus car is the only one we've been using for the last week and a bit since the snow arrived so although outside and covered in snow the Lupo is clean and protected.

Sadly my hose is frozen so no chance of a proper wash on the missus car. Thinking the local pressure washer would do it though.

Not bad outside today, the ground is damp but that's about it. Nice and calm. Not many clouds either.

Might get out there soon

Too much snow on the ground here to do anything

Sounds like the weather isn't too bad up your way Alan.
