I had one of these.
I had a 3 door in red but with no sunroof.
I absolutely loved it unfortunately my other half at the time wrote it off She hit a van which was left parked on a blind bend.
It handled really well but it could be a bit light on the front end if you you accelerated hard.
I did manage to get my mpg down to single figures on one fun day pre speed camera days of course.
Loved the rear windows mine had Spanish windows at the front.
My best mate had the 205 gti 1.9 and he was keen on mine as well.

Thats lovely looking by the way

So, back from hols and couldn’t sit down.

I had been undecided whether to dye the bumpers back to their original black and thought about keeping them as how they were.. that changed today and I’m glad I did as it really freshens the car up. I also got some of that laminx and coated two of the front lights. The original ‘yellow’ siem units are barely existent now and when they do come up they are mega money..

Looks well I think and can be tore off
Before bumper dye

after

side before

and after

its hard enough to tell from the photos but the bumpers had really greyed and lost their black over the years
just for example you can see it better in this photo how better it will look now

great looking car.... my first car was a 309 'style' that turned into a GTi replica...

still have a soft spot for them to this day... keep up the good work...
