It is pretty small but it does clean the Central part of the screen and as it’s not a tall screen, no bigger wiper would fit.

Drivers' side HID main dipped beam bulb gradually failing - lasting 10 minutes, then eventually by this morning down to 60 seconds and out.

Dealer cost + fitting = £circa £80 for the D4S Philips bulb

Online cost = £circa £60 on Amazon.

Hunting about cost = £19.99 delivered for a Phillips (Made in Germany) XenEco OEM bulb (unboxed)!

Works perfectly now

Quick updates.

Since it was serviced it has done 5000+ miles, and had some vibration through the steering and progressively more through the brakes.

First port of call - 4 wheel geometry and alignment - £80 - no better but they did whack away at a rear arm and unseize it, which will have prevented an issue!

Next up, all 4 wheels rebalanced and tyres checked - £25 - all fine.

Eventually started to get amber warning lights on the dash (check ECB, check VSC, traction control, ABS etc).

Into Lexus it went - 2 days later and lots of checking, a front disc was warped as pads were binding in the carrier, and discs too thin to skim.

New discs and pads at the front, after my discounts applied - £428 - .... emmmm. Nope!

A bit of searching around, looking at other dealers across the UK, and Lexus own old prices for fixed price work and the dealer matched it, no questions. £325 all in, so not bad at all for the size of the discs and genuine parts, dealer fitted.

All good, until the next day - all lights back on. Back into the dealer.

Basically could be anything electrical and dealer not optimistic about an easy find, could be expensive etc...

Anyway phones back 2 hours later - car ready!

Turns out an ABS sensor at the front had a corroded cable on close inspection - cut back and replaced the cable, cleared faults and road test - all good.

Picked up the car, no charge at all, even for the courtesy car insurance (on the yet again brand new car - an IS300h this week and last week). Super service from Lexus again!

Car now running all well

Indeed. 11 year old car, could easily have charged me an hours labour, and I would have been happy with that outcome. Car now running great and yet another reason for me to stay with the Lexus brand when I change my car!

The new cars are also so great that you can't imagine anything being better in most ways.

Yep - one of the main reasons I bought this car. I knew how good the dealer was.
