Maybe family illness, or on holiday - give it a few days and try again. Many of these companies are one man bands, so it doesn't take much before they are out of action.

Fingers crossed for you.

The thought crossed my mind as well. In the meantime, MAC VW have very kindly invited me to take it over Saturday to let them have a look. They have a very good reputation with aircooled engines so I'm hoping they'll be able to help

Right, MAC were able to tune and balance the carbs a while back now, engine runs great now Stef who runs MAC is a great guy, would recommend them to anyone with an old veedub in need of love.
Unfortunately the car mean with a road defect which appears to have damaged the lower torsion arm bearings/bushings. I'm currently awaiting delivery of some replacements along with fresh grease seals, from Germany. I'm hoping the trailing arms themselves are ok, but will see when they're out. I have a source for NOS ones, but they are not cheap.

OK so my parts turned up today, looks like I got a pair of NOS grease seals, a pair of NOS torsion arm bushes and a new set of needle bearings.

Ok...last of the inner beam components sorted, just awaiting on the decent lower arms to arrive now:

It could well be I will not need to use these units, in fact I'm hoping not, as any parts like this I would like to be able to build a stock of spares, however, knowing my luck I know if I do not have them to hand when having the work some, I will need them, so I'm covering all the bases.

Right, the lower arms have turned up from the USA. Overall they look pretty good, whilst they are obviously second hand the scoring/wear is minimal and should hopefully give me no play when mated up to new bushes and bearings:
