Great job matey very nice car and I bet you can't wait to get it finished then stand back and admire your hard work. I'm doing a similar thing whilst modding my Impreza engine. and am tempted to do the engine bay at the same time now after seeing this post.
Keep up the good work |

Looks awesome, I have a massive soft spot for the FRP.
I plan to do what you're doing with my fiesta in the not too distant future |

Lots of work but it will be a stunner when she is finished, could never understand why it was never more popular. maybe they should have used an XR name instead of puma. Well done though, you have a really nice one when its all finished.

Their lack of popularity has made them very rare and hopefully a future value increasing classic (he hopes!) Alex |

UPDATE: After taking a rest from the car for Christmas and new year I got back into the garage late last week and got cracking again
I've got the majority of the underside of the car painted now. The main floor pan and exhaust tunnel are done. Just need to done the edges where the floor meets the sills. Can't tell the colour too well again but... ![]() ![]() Got some of my new clips fitted, new brake line, fuel line and handbrake cable clips. Only got a few on so far got about 10 more to go on- ![]() ![]() The fuel lines that ran from the front to the back of the car were looking tired and were covered in horrible thick underseal, I rubbed them down with wirewool and light sandpaper and gave them a quick coat of grey stone chip paint. Much better ![]() ![]() ![]() Still got some little jobs before I rebuild her. Got the offside rear arch to paint as well. Should be done this week ![]() Thanks, Alex |
