Yeah I agree, found one online actually with american bumpers, de-arched and vento front end. Love it

Yeah not too sure whats gone on them, but yeah stuck another set in for now and looking to have the original ones repaired, want to recover the mileage if its still possible. Should be around 84k at the minute.

Wont be too many updates on this for a while because I'm at uni and haven't got the time space or money to do much right now. Slowly stocking up on black interior parts and will re-trim the headlining in the summer. Other than that just saving for the respray and also want to get the whole car polybushed eventually. I've got a pretty long to do list on top of that haha

Car seems mechanically sound, so my focus is the bodywork before it rots away beyond repair, dont plan on getting rid of this for some time

Interior is getting there, recently trimmed the headlining and fitted the genuine black abc pillar trims and sun visors. The rest has been sprayed, just need to get myself some genuine black grab handles.

Before:

After

Also got a VR6 Highline lower glovebox and centre console in as well as a genuine Mk3 Anniversary gear knob and gaiter, so interior is coming on.

However still needs two new wings, welding to the sill and lots of painting..

Yeah man slowly getting there, and spoke to someone the other day about the clocks so hopefully I'll be getting the correct mileage back on there soon.

Its just a shame about the exterior haha Its pretty bad at the minute to be honest. Both wings are ruined, someone clipped them on a roundabout the other week, part of there rear arch is in primer and filler still and the doors look ****e from where I attempted to paint them..

Cant wait to get it painted and detailed and will look clean again

I do love all MK3, especially Dragon Green ones.

Look forward to this!

Whats the job like to weld the sills? Mines are starting to go at the front jack points. A friend will be doing the welding right enough!

Not too bad really, you can buy replacement sills for about £25 each last time I looked. Fully shaped and ready to go, just cut the entire old sill off and weld in

When I did the ones on my old black golf I just cut all the rust out and welded plates in though. Still was easy enough
