Ford Focus RS

As you know, I am a lover of all things Ford and for the past few years I have been considering buying a Focus RS. After a chat with my Dad in the pub, a decision was made and after an afternoons internet research, I sourced this car:

I arranged to view the car the next day as it was a couple of hours away. I immediately knew it was the one for me and bought it on the spot. I then had to wait four days to pick it up as it had a loose headlight washer cover.

Collection day....looking clean...but not G105ALY clean!!!

I got the car home and before I could even wash it, I was asked to bring it down to Stokesley Classic Car show to sit alongside my other Fords:

So, the plans for this are as follows:

1) Deep clean of all surfaces including interior, engine, recesses, wheel arches etc to prevent potential corrosion
2) Paint Brake Calipers
3) Wheel Refurb in Anthracite
4) K & N Performance Filter
5) Cat Back Performance Exhaust

Garage it whilst I am in South Korea.

Today I removed the rear lights to clean and treat the area with anti corrosion wax as I have heard they can rust behind the lights:

Before:

After....and treated with this:

I then decided to give the engine bay a tidy, particularly the front cross member. The plastic slam panel was removed to aid cleaning:

Whilst in the engine bay the K&N filter was installed. I love how this sits in the original airbox:
