Peugeot 205 Dimma

Hi all I thought I would share my rebuild that I started nearly 4 years ago. I started out with purchasing the car that I had read about that had been restored 2 years previously to me buying so I thought it would have been a good base to start. I viewed the car and all seemed ok the bodywork needed some tlc as did the rest of the car but as I was planning on stripping to a bare shell this didn't bother me too much. I got the car home and started the strip down how wrong I was the whole front end was rotten so I decided I would remove the rear arches too see what these where like these didn't look to bad but would need attention. The first job I did was remove all the rotten parts and then started the repairs sadly half way through the repairs I was offered a brand new unregistered shell for good money so with a heavy heart I decided it would be best to reshell the car.

The new shell

I then had the engine and gearbox vapour blasted and then rebuilt and whilst I was doing this the bodyshop did their thing and the car was returned to me ready to start the rebuild.

This is just a quick summary of the work carried out The engine and gearbox are being fitted in next few weeks and the interior is already at the trimmers so I have come onto here to show my project and to get any advice to look after my hard work.

This is amazing! Haven't seen the word Dimma for about 15 years, and it's all come rushing back to me. Lusting after a 306 or Williams Clio at the age of 18.
