Had one of these as my first bike, great fun bikes... I threw mine down the road on diesel, part of the engine casing went into the engine combined with it running for a while with no oil in it keeled over.... Still a great bike!

I could be very tempted mate depending on price

Update:

With everything apart from the fairings sitting ready to go I thought I would make use of the good weather do do some final prep for when the fairings finally arrive.

Main job was to clean up the exhaust.
See this on YouTube, harpic black power bleach. Amazing results with little efforts.

Before.

Afters:

Then continued cleaning the rest of the bike.....

Refitted the carbon heel plates, the painted intake trims & the intake grill.

And one with the very very dirt dog wagon in the background.

Ok guys.

mini update, phone call from the body shop. fairings are STILL on the shelf untouched!

will have another update next week for progress. plan now is probably going to be get the fairings repaired but unpainted, fit them onto the bike and ride it through the summer and then drop them off for paint over the winter when the bikes in hibernation.
at which point I might just get all the fairings repainted, then that poses another question......

do I change the design of the bike?????
not a lairy custom job but taking inspiration from the newer model?

if anyone is good at photo shop and want to help me out doing the white and the wheels green it would be much appreciated. (or do I paint the wheels to match the newer model?)

this it the inspiration.

God that looks wicked in white mate.
I wonder if the wheels would look good in white too.
What ever you do i look forward to seeing it.
I had a zx6r g1 years ago. Bloody brilliant. It was the bike i learned to get my knee down on.

Also owned a zx6r b1h too. That was a very focused bike for the road.

Its staying green mate. the lower black may be done in carbon fibre which is something i'm looking into.

the wheels I'm not sure on, got a guy doing me some photo shopped images so I can make my mind up.
