If you change the colour from anything but green you will lose around 5HP

Good to see the restoration

Nice fresh look, apart from red actually being faster 😂

Will you be going black on the frame, subframe and swingarm too?

We all know the fastest Kawasaki's are always green

Spoke to the bodyshop, he is starting the repairs and i should have the fairings back in less than 2weeks. He is onboard with leaving the paint til the winter however Currently getting some qoutes from different bodyshops.

The frame will be staying silver for now, bit at a time. The swingarms due a repaint but repainting the frame is a big job but will be something to consider in the future. Maybe more so depending on how the repaint goes.

Not in the near future.
Would require a full strip of the bike but its something I am considering for the future as the swing arm requires a repaint shortly. bit at a time.

Hope you thoroughly enjoy the "bit at a time"!
Not being snarky, just envious. I wish I still had my bike.

Minor Update:

finally tracked down a pyramid seat cowl!!!!
its the same as the one in the picture (just to give you an idea of how it will look) but its currently purple and in need of some TLC but with a respray due in the winter its not really an issue. Next question is do i leave it off until the respray or do I give it a quick spray kawa green just so I can fit it now???
those in the know while appreciate how difficult these are to acquire as they are no longer made. you can get an ill fitting chinese one from ebay but I knew i would never be happy with it.

more pictures once it arrives.

and no the fairings arent back from the bodyshop yet
