looking for a da machine

hi all looking to start machine polishing my cars,poss looking to buy a das6 or g220 what do you guys recommend,should i buy a second hand one first or a new one weres best to buy a new one.or look on here for a used one first to see how i get on with it

welcome to the site get a rotary instead - nothing wrong with going straight to one. rotaries just need more practise and care in use
have a look around the DW trader sites to see whats available - be sure to practise on a scrap panel first before using it on a car

I agree! Rotarys are a lot better machine.. Get used to it and you have cracked it! Common sense at the end of the day when using it.. Better machine, better correction, quicker and easier imho.

can you recommend any and what costs involved
i did see a kit on ebay for machine and loads of pad etc for just over 40 quid

seen that a few times, tbh it looks ok apart from the supplied pads and backing plates - you get what you pay for with these imo and they look poor quality tbh

thought it was cheap,is it worth it as a starter one as not to much money as im nervous of the rotary one incase i balls up
