Cleaning the new car

Chopped the cx5 in for something cheaper to run about in so here is the new addition to the family, a 2016 seat leon 1.4 tsi in fr spec with technology pack added. Yesterday I started the decon and today was the polishing. All in all around 13 hours was spent on the car.
Car was washed, clayed, washed, iron remover and then washed 3 times, bit ocd but hey plastics and alloys treated with dlux and glass treated with g1 and the car machined polished by my friend President Swirl using menzerna polishes and his newly acquired das 6 pro plus, car finished off with 3 coats of bd clean kryptonite which incidentally is a right pain to use.

Nice car. Test drove an Ibiza FR years ago, drove nicely but that particular model was a bit drab inside for an FR

I do like nice clean black cars, I just don't like trying to keep them clean.

Cheers mate very happy with the way it came out, black is a very rewarding colour to polish, but a bugger to keep clean afterwards

Great job there! I'm interested on the reason you changed from the CX-5 - I thought they were pretty economical for a cross over?

They are but mine was the 2.2 awd with 175 bhp engine and auto box, round town which is what I'm doing more and more of I was struggling to get 30 mpg, stop start in it killed the consumption, I do believe the 150 bhp in front wheel drive guise is a lot more economical getting around 40 mpg around town
