What's safe to use on these alloys? Volvo v40 alloys
Just got my volvo v40, not had any issues with any other alloys in past however these volvo v4p alloys are little different with like black satin finish.
I just want to make sure what's safe to use on these alloys? Can I use fallout remover safely without marking them? Provided a picture of them. ![]() |

I have a V40 with these wheels also, I've used AF ObliTARate, AF Iron Out and PM TFR and they all worked fine! One thing to note, be careful with the plastic nut covers when cleaning your wheels as they come off now and again, if you lose one there's spare under the boot liner! Great car btw, hope you enjoy it!

Plastic nut covers? I've only had the car few days, not sure if I'm missing them already. Could you show me a photo of what I should have?
Cheers for the help and advise on the cleaning stuff. |

Yours are still on, I've also had my V40 from new and I've lost two of the wee covers, must be something I do that makes them pop off lol no biggie as you get plenty of spares, I just check every so often they're still on good and tight!

Mine is actually silver in colour, just too dark to get any decent photos of mine.
Just had look round the car and I am indeed missing a cover, anyone know where I can get them from? Could try the dealer but I'm sure they will charge me arm and leg. |

Check in your boot where the spare tyre is supposed to be, there should be a small plastic bag with a good few spares and the wee tool for taking them off! Failing that check out http://www.volvopartshop.com/wheel-n...ps-19526-p.asp they're like £6 for 4 so not too bad!
