If your left with the odd fine swirls then S30 would have enough bite with a polishing pad to remove the remaining swirls or you could step it up a bit to a green hex polishing pad what pads have you?
Haven't ordered anything yet but I'm planning on giving my car a full treatment once winter has passed.

When it comes to pads, I was thinking about getting the following:
  • S3 with a green Buff and Shine pad
  • S30 with a white Raffini polishing pad (similar to Chemical Guy's white pad in terms of cutting/polishing power I suppose)

Scholl's Spider pads also seem to be quite popular, but may be a bit dangerous in the hands of a complete polishing newbie (like myself) from what I've heard.

If you're going to be doing this all day everyday it would be very wise to invest in the Rupes system. You'll end up with detailers white finger using a das6 all day mate!!!

You will love the Rupes machines does everything from cutting, polishing, and finishing and you don't really hear of any of them breaking down, not like some machines that I won't mention

You can't get S20 in 250ml size..........yet. 1kg or you can buy a sample kit which contains a Scholl spider pad and a 100 ml sample of S20.

Agree with chongo regarding S30 and S40. Use S30 if there are a very light swirls left after compounding. It has enough bite to get rid of them whilst finishing down extremely well.

S40 has very little bite but leaves a superb finish, especially on darker colours.
