If you have the cash then I would say YES, go for it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I am just about to do the same with a Duetto, the fact you can get a 3inch backpad has just about sealed the deal.

It was bought from CYC so may have to contact them next.
Thats something I've never experienced with mine, but I do tend to use it just on bodykits/bumpers etc where the 5" pads can't get

The surface area of a Rupes 3” pad (100mm surface dia.) is 12.17 in² and a 5” pad (150mm surface dia.) is 27.38in² meaning the surface area of the 5” pad is 2.25 times that of the 3” pad.

Whilst you could do a whole car with a 3” pad it would take you at least 2 times longer than using a 5” pad due to the smaller surface area being covered when polishing.

A 3” pad is useful for small areas such as front and rear bumpers, recessed areas, panels with compound curves, roof pillars etc but is really is too small to do a whole car if it needs serious correction such as a 2 or 3 stage polish.

However, if you have plenty of time on your hands or the paint is in good condition you could use the Rupes Mini to do a whole car, but preferably a small one!

As Alan said, you could but it would take you a while

No mate only use it where my 15 can't get to, but I have use it on bigger areas the odd time. Just waiting to get the Duetto now then that should be it with the Rupes system.

Yes, the Duetto would be a better choice but Rupes do not do a 3" backing plate for it.

The only 3" backing plate that can be fitted to the Duetto is the Kamikaze Beast 3" backing plate and it is expensive (£99). Can you obtain this in Croatia?
