Good & sturdy, clear so you can see the crud. I'm quite happy with 'em

Apart from the colour they look very similar to these (cheaper) ones sold at B&Q - http://www.diy.com/rooms/grey-orange...1103482_BQ.prd

I have one which I use for wheels only.

good call for wheels, will check 'em out. Mind you by the time i've reached my 'local' B&Q i'll probably have spent the £4 difference on fuel

Been using these for about a year and work very well, they are pretty unrefined though, I had to give them a good going over with wet & dry to take off all the sharp edges, definitely made for the ruffy tuffy hands of ruffy tuffy builder blokes rather than the delicate donnies of dedicated detailing dudes. And while the 30L capacity does mean that you can keep to the top of the bucket and stay away from the dirtier water further down it also means that you use and probably waste a lot more water and shampoo. Also your grit guards will have about a cm gap all round them which makes them move around with the water and even sometimes float up and release everything they've trapped. I got around this by splitting an old piece of hose pipe along its length and cable tying it around the edge of the guard to wedge it in, it helped but it didn't totally cure the problem.
I've no issue with my gritguard fitting in these - I have the £5.40 ones from ebay with the 4 'legs' to add to the correct diameter - min fits snuggly at the bottom, doesn't rise up.
These buckets are so deep that you you don't really need the guards anyway - just keep taking fresh shampoo off the top 6 " and you're still 10" above the gritguard

I got 2 Meguiars Buckets with Grit Guards and 2 Ultimate Finish Buckets.

The Meg's only lasted me about 2 years and they bottom seal started leaking. the UF buckets are cheap quality but does the job with the guards in place.

I will always use grit guards for a wash now, they do work as can be seen at the end of a wash with all the crud at the bottom and able to safely rinse the Mitt.

I saw AF did a deal on Rinse,Wash,Wheels buckets which looked awesome but not sure if they sell them anymore.
