4month old transit connect polish advice

My brother bought a brand new transit connect in metallic blue at the time of purchase I told him to tell the dealer not to bother touching the van as they'll probably do more harm than good. I told him I'd do it!

Unfortunately I've never gotten round to it, I've promised him I'll do it soon.

Just looking for some advice on what polish to use on pretty much brand new van. Only been washed (safely) a handful of times.

Here are the polishes I have to hand.

M205
BH cleanser polish
Britemax Blackmax
Angel wax perfect polish.
AG SRP

Obviously I'll be doing prep work first, decon etc

I'll be using my Vertool 21mm da machine.

Thanks guys

Hi mate,

I have had a lot of success with Scholl S20 Black with the Purple Scholl Spider Pad on Ford paint! It's very easy to use hardly any dusting and buffs of nice.

The main point is that it cuts swirls easy and leaves a very good finish.

I went over it the last time with a finishing polish... Menzerna 3800 to get it perfect!

Thanks
Rob

Thanks for the reply.

Doesn’t need swirls cutting out as like I said it’s pretty much brand new

Just a finishing polish and lsp is what I had in mind for it

I'd give the Blackmax a go first as you don't need to spend a long time using it. If the paint is brand new it shouldn't take long to go over it.

The BH CP would do both as the sealant layer left behind is pretty good for 3 months in my experience so you would not need to do it all-in-one day. As for LSP it's a van so maybe go with Megs Ultimate liquid wax which is in underrated LSP and goes on easily regardless of sun etc which I think could be a problem unless you can fit the van indoors.

Vertool 21mm with 6/7 in pads helps a lot on a transit.

I would use a medium polishing pad and SRP ( since you already have it ) and go over the whole van once and the results should be quite pleasing and easily 2-3 mths of protection.
