Question Sony Laptop Battery help

Hi currently got "ole faithful" Sony Nr21-J laptop, been fine odd issue on IE8, used daily for 4+ hours (sad i know!).

90% of the time used on mains lead; but now battery seems to last for around 20-30mins before was always around 2 hours.

I have run the batter flat then done full recharge, there are no options in BIOS (like in my samsung NC10) to do a reset-recharge. I have taken it out left cleaned terminals etc.

So i think unless i am told otherwise a new battery Sony VGP-BPS9/B. If that is the case apart from ebay (which is very much a gamble for second hand batteries) can anyone suggest a GOOD reseller of genuine or OEM batteries

Thanks..

Yeah get a new battery, they only have a certain amount of cycles (charge/discharge). Ebay is very good for getting batteries either genuine or aftermarket. I have done this with mobile phones etc.

As long as its not too old I dont think you should have an issue getting hold of one, possibly you may have to get it from abroad, but still worth it.

Hope you find something.

Sounds like battery is shot - my Vaio VGN-FS is exactly the same. Had it about 7 years and the battery hardly lasts at all. Did replace the power cable etc with a non-genuine one recently and the connector doesn't make a proper fit and only works in a certain position - that doesn't help either !!

Time to upgrade I feel - what's the NC10 like?

Don't know about OEM, but I have bought and used equivalents from these guys http://www.a1-battery.co.uk/LAPTOP_BATTERY/index.htm for both laptops and Dewalt power tools, all with great results and no compatibility problems.
