i have the gen volvo moulded boot liner for it the one with the two side pockets to fit the boot.
its a Work in progress, as it Really did save the boot carpeting from a Lot of stains
"flash" floor cleaner has worked wonders on that, so far

Headlights,, nearly !

Been a bit of a "oh ,,right then" for me so getting time to carry on with the V50 refresh and the health do it with,,
Finally got the pair of those to agree , and set about the headlights

being the state they were in not the worse, my dads 19 year old astra was far and away worse and came up as good as new

i used a Autoglym headlight restoration kit , on both dads and mine
and about 3 mugs of coffee,

the plan was get them polished, give the car a wash and dry it, then put a coating on the lenses, rain stopped play as i was looking at two headlights that were restored, still with the masking on and before i got to wash the car,

i dont think blue eye makeup suits the v50, so the masking was taken off in the rain and the rest will have to be "next"

i "may" look at replacing the projectors in the lights for "e46 type" with a H7 fitting, but thats for another day after a few paydays.

The wheels, still need to get the G5 applied to them, and ive treated the V50 to a bottle of C2v3 to try ontop of the Uhd wax, and as a top up for the coating thats going on the headlights, rain permitting,
slowly slowly polishy volvo , ,

car got a wash and it is starting to get there,
couple of deeper bird etches on the roof,,but i will have to live with those until i feel like hand polishing the car, which might be after seeing to the 120K miles worth of "measles" on the bonnet,,

Not so much On the car this one but For the car
the fence is held up with concrete posts, which we all know Will chip the edges of doors or worse no matter how careful we are, i got hold of some 8inch wide 4mm thick eva foam
and wrapped the 3 posts that sit where i park the car,

Fitted it friday, and it has Piddled it down since, and it is still stuck nicely to the posts, i have some for the very end post to pop on when the weather co-operates next,

then set to on the rear seats

not overly dirty other than

right on the edge there is a dark cream/brown mark, it has resisted
AG leather cleaner And Gtechnic Tri clean ,
so

and a Very very soft nail brush

looks a Lot better after one application and a Light brush with it, i feel sure with a couple more applications it will all be gone

the Dr leather cleaner took all the other marks off the back seats that the other 2 left behind , the smell is not offensive if you dont mind a slight lanolin scent. the shine has Gone from the seats

Front seats got done while i was there, Major improvements, but like a numpty i forgot to take photos. I got carried away with the results i was getting so carried on

Loveley motor!

Im an S60 II (2.4 Twin Turbo D5) owner myself. But when I was 19, I was insured on my dads 850SE 2.5 (aka the flying brick) and then he later on got a V70 2.4.

Time to start a volvo owners thread!

third volvo for me
ran a 940 for 8-9 years then a S40 1.8VVT engine/auto for 9 years now this 2.4i 5 pot geartronic,

Thanks
Nearly bought a S60 2.0T P2 but the bloke sold it while i was on the way to see it.

its been a Lot of graft to get it this far, and £,
plans are
ATF replacement, (may be a diy maybe a specialist unsure yet)
Replace front pads and disks with gen volvo ones, the rears are so new its not worth doing those yet.
Start hand polishing the worse of the swirls etc out of it
(unless i win the lottery and a DA and ptg happens)
Finish cleaning the insides up to where im happy
C5 onto the wheels (time & weather thing the car lives outside)
G5 reapplication to the side windows
Sort a leak on the boot hatch, sealant is shipping as i suspect it is round the boot seal Or the washer for the rear
Weather permitting its going up on jack stands and BH Hydrate 80 on anything that needs it ,
reinstate the engine under tray, if i can find one 2nd hand
if i can find the right leather restoration kit for the colour i may set about the 14years worth of not being looked after and cracks

+ anything else i find on my way around mostly clean/lube/protect or replace

and im Trying to remember to take photos,

more of a text update than photos,
there is a blow somewhere on the exhaust, suspect the rear box to the middle box section some where about or around the welded in pipe the last owners had put in where the joint between said sections Should be,,
£650 + fitting for the rear and middle sections if i go gen volvo for those parts
no aftermarket maufs list an exhaust for mine so "pattern parts" are not an option

leaves me with the option of "ouch price" or get a custom made stainless steel cat back exhaust made and fitted £300 all in,
expect photos soon,

Could be worth trying AG Paint renovator (or Megs Ultimate compound) - neighbour had some on his Juke and couldn't shift it by hand - picked up a bottle of the AG and problem solved
