Arrow Refined Details: Frozen White Mk2 Focus RS Enhancement ft. Auto Finesse's Tough Coat

Hi all,

A very short write up as I was restricted on time/light at this detail in Hertfordshire back in March. The vehicle in question was a gorgeous Frozen White Mk2 Ford Focus RS, which was in need of a 1-step enhancement and protection - Auto Finesse's Tough Coat was applied to the bodywork for protection at the customers request.

On Arrival

Not looking bad...

Closer Inspection

General soiling and tar spots experienced - nothing to untoward as you would expect on an 18 month old vehicle with low miles.

The deironiser doing its thing on the body work...

Once the comprehensive 8-stage safe wash process was completed the vehicle was then clayed.

Once completed the vehicle was then ready for a pre-wax cleanser followed by Auto Finesse's Tough Coat - along with all the other surfaces being treated accordingly.

The Results

I was really impressed with Auto Finesse's Tough Coat - exceptionally easy to apply and buff off. It left a really slick finish, even though the dull weather conditions doesn't help!

Thank you for looking and reading as always,
Adam

Thanks a lot guys - was incredibly impressed with Tough Coat... unsure on durability of the product (I am sure James will be able to confirm this) but the ease of use and added gloss to the finish was sensational.

I have to admit, I love Tough Coat for it's ease of use and the shine it gives, especially the glossy look on lighter colours.

However, having now used it on 4 cars i maintain over the top of Tough Prep, i've had around 4-5 weeks durability before the beading has died away completely. The cars are still clearly protected - when washed they are easy to rinse and dry, water does still sheet off them, but they don't really repel dirt very much...

Shame because it's such a good product to use!

Nice one on the durability update mate - bit of a shame but then again if its apart of your monthly wash process and top up then its perfect for the enthusiast I would say
