Bilt hamber cleanser polish

Hi everyone,

Just looking for a bit advice on the above product. Ive seen a lot of people recommend it before laying down a sealant or wax so I was looking at buying some. I just want to know, will I still need a cut and finish polish before it if I have light swirls? I'm doing it by hand so I know I'll never get a great finish.

Will the bilt hamber cleanser polish be enough on it's own or should I use AG SRP at some stage? I'm planning on putting a coat of fusso light soft 99 sealant on top if that makes any difference?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

BH Cleanser Polish and AG SRP are similar products so, IMHO, it's one or the other.

From the Shopnshine website:

BH is described as: "...Cleanser Polish from Bilt Hamber is an award winning resin based polish that provides exceptional levels of mechanical refinement and cleaning. Cleanser Polish provides an optically clear, deep gloss. It will fill minor swirls, holograms and minor defects.

AG is described as: "...Autoglym Super Resin Polish or SRP as it is commonly referred to is a polish that gently removes harmful surface contaminants and imparts a tough, glossy, protective barrier to preserve your paintwork.
Super Resin Polish contains specialised emulsifiers and conditioners which gently clean and condition paintwork. Low molecular weight resins harden and bond to give exceptional protection and cosmetic effect."

I think you'd be better off with BH Cleanser Polish if you're following it with fusso light soft 99 as I believe it was developed with sealants in mind.

Happy to be educated if I've not got this quite right.

Good Luck.

Andy.

SRP and BH Cleanser Polish are very similar products, they are both quite good bases for sealants too (remember that SRP is designed to allow EGP (sealant) as well as HD and UHD wax to follow) so they are essentially interchangeable. Old SRP works more like Cleanser Polish as it has a bit more bite.
