Rupes Mille specific compounds

I'm seriously considering getting a Rupes Mille but my one concern is the polish choices. With a random orbit machine you can use pretty much anything you fancy but Rues have developed a range of polish they say should be used with the Mille as it needs more lubrication for the direct drive.

Anyone using these "Mille" compounds - are they any good, or are you using your Mille with a none Rupes compound and getting great results?

Used my new Mille on a Red Type R and the yellow foam pad and Rupes polish was perfect. I was told you can use your normal polishes etc. Marketing stunt...

Thanks for the reply and good to know you are liking the Mille.

I can’t find any user info on using the Mille with other manufacturers compounds (specifically Scholl and Koch).
