Saab 9-5 Aero HOT small project

So I got myself a 2008 Saab 9-5 Aero over the crimbo period for a decent price of £1495 it will be a weekend car but it needs works. Apart from some small mechanical work (ABS light on) it also needs some body work issues so after a good look this will be a longish project as funds and time are not on my side.

Anyway when i first got it

Notice the damage on the lower doors

After a quick go over with my DA and some megs 105 and 205 but my pads were pretty knackered so needs more work. I am actually going to try and 2500 wet sand as its got a bad repair job and orange peel on one side. Anyway some pics of the afters

And finally this weekend i managed to Plasti Dip the chrome headlight surrounds as i was never very keen on them.

Did not come out well on first coat warmed can up and started again

3rd layer

I love these cars!

I had a 9000SE for a long time which was one of the best motors I've ever owned, but the 9-5s I've had were almost as good a drive.

Good luck with the project.

BTW, if you are in the South Midlands, East Anglia or N London, get Twostroketoturbo at Royston on your bookmarks page/speed dial - they are the mutt's nuts for all Saab bits and very competitive for servicing.
