This has kept me busy

My son (now 10) has always been in the smallest bedroom but over recent months has been asking when he can move into the 2nd bedroom as he wanted more space.

As this is a guest room the door is shut most of the time and he never really goes in there. This gave me the opportunity when he was not here to create the room he wanted and deserved.

Somehow I managed to decorate, get new carpet and underlay fitted, break down, remove and replace the bedroom furniture in there and replace with all new and install lots of gadgets that 10 year olds need - 10 USB plugs, disco light, wardrobe sensor lights, Echo Spot with remote plugs and colour changing bulb etc etc

Needless to say he was shocked beyond belief when I asked him to go in there and get something for me

What a brilliant surprise for your boy.

I bet he was delighted.

Great job by the way. Looks like a fantastic space for a 10 year old.

Top man!

What a lucky little fellow and what a great idea to surprise him like that! A heck of an achievement to keep it from a 10 year old, too - the buggers are normally very alert, at least mine was at that age.

Nicely executed arrangement as well.

It's the amazing (and kind) things like that that children remember their parents doing for them long into adulthood.

Well what can I say, your son fully deserves this stunning bedroom, may he have years of pleasure out of it.
