2018 Rav4 Hybrid - Why do I even bother.

Hey Ya'll

As the title suggests, this is a detail that really didn't need to be done, but I had access to the car for a month, and figured I would spruce it up for my parents as a nice thing to do. Only real problem is that the car is basically already spruced. It's only got 6300kms on it, it lives underground out of the weather, and I gave it the beans just after winter when I swapped the winter tires off (at around 2500-3000kms ago?). So yeah, if you're looking for gnarly dirt dripping from snow foam, bloody bleeding wheels and paint, and swirls being cut down, might wanna check another thread.

Wheels being cleaned with mild APC, and even that was too much.

Car being foamed with Regular soap, because it was only mildly dusty.

Claying the car, which probably made it worse.

The only defect, from a bike rack that needs to be thrown out before it burned through the trunk.

Removed with Megs UC and a foamed wool pad, followed by UP on a white foam pad.

Car was polished with AG SRP to prep the paint for AG HD. I really don't like the applicators for that wax, I always put it on too thick.

Curing away.

Nice gloss reveal, left to breath overnight.

Blue is good.

Tires tire shined. Wheels will see a more thorough clean and real protection after they winters are swapped on.

Shiney.

If you couldn't tell, I like these headlights.

Dash wiped with Megs Quick Interior detailer, glass with stoners, and jambs with Megs quick detailer.

So yeah, whole bunch of the same. Don't worry, their other car is a Nissan leaf, and that is what sees the most mileage. It's going to make for one good write up.

The paint colour is Galactic Aqua Mica, it's a deep blueish green, with lots of flake. Very subtle in the shade, but vibrant in direct sunlight.

Nice job you done there, my old man's got the chr hybrid and I've been looking at the rav4 as a possible for my next car, price is still a bit steep at the moment though

That looks great nice work.

I think the Rav4 is a very under estimated car.
My mum has a 2007 model and for what would be seen as a soft roader, it has loads of capabilities - diff lock, descent control, all sorts of magic levelling bits.
