Interested also especially in the 3inch pad. I seem to recall a video by White Details on YouTube where he trims the 3inch pad down. I could be wrong but rings a bell.
If you go with the foamed wool, make sure its the fluffier of the pads. They have 2 different lines of the same pad and one is super thin, its fine on a flexible backing plate but horrid on a rigid plate like the flex. The plusher of the 2 is perfect. Great cut, finishes well, and seems durable from my experience
Been using them for years on my 3401 - they are excellent and will work perfectly on your Vertool forced drive polisher.
There's a thin version of the purple foamed wool pads which are designed for free spinning dual action polishers.
