I need to do a tar removal & fallout removal process on my car.
I currently have Tardis & Korrosol but that means a 2 stage process.
I just heard of Car Pro TRIX which is supposed to do both in one go. Is it any good or do i need to use 2 products?
My only concern is that I've only used the Bilt Hamber Korrosol on wheels so far and it was so good I'm concerned it will be too strong to use on car paintwork.
Any help as always is appreciated.
I've got Trix and to be honest I don't rate it that highly. It works don't get me wrong but not as well as two dedicated products do. Not in my experience anyway.
Korrosol is designed to be used on paintwork so you'll be fine.
I used to use Tardis and Iron-X. I then used TRIX. I found it wasn't as effective as the two products separately and have never gone back. This was in 2012 so I've no idea if they've changed things up since then.
Depends on how bad the contamination. If the panels are well maintained it shouldn't be too bad so sometimes you can get away with trix. If it's not been maintained before then using two separate products will be more effective.
Carchem tar and glue is good! Ive used it to get off baked on bits of freshly laid tarmac and general tar. It is the only one I've used however but found it much easier to get hold of than tardis. Product is cheap but delivery was a almost as much as the product (£5 for 500ml and £4 delicery) but as it's cheap it still works out at a decent price.
I also nearly bought trix but found lots of poor reviews of it!
The problem with Trix is it needs to be shaken well before each spray, if you do that then you will find it does work.
