BMW paint fade

Hopefully you can see a picture on clicking the link below. On my Sapphire Black BMW the drivers door seems to have faded, but just on the top half. This hasn't had any different cleaning methods applied to it compared to the rest of the car. Could it be a lacquer issue?

I have in my detailing gear, AG SRP, Farcela Scratch Removal, Farcela Paint Renovator, S20 Black and Menz polishes but haven't tried any yet to see if it improves

Thanks Steve, Would that have taken 4 years to show up (thats how long I have had the car) and its only the top half of the door, which if the door had been hit and reparied, I would imagine the lower part under the swag line is more at risk.

guessing theyve done a local repair just to the swage line ....polish it up and protect it , might well last a few more years with no bother
