what are the difference

hi guys, me again!

so I've been looking at new pads but I'm confused (again) why the different pads are different..

for example Chemical Guys Quantum Hex Logic Pads have grooves in the pad yet Rupes are flat surface..

any reason?

thank you

Just a different manufacturer design, the type of foam (density, closed or open pore) would make more of a difference to the level of cut.
What are you looking for? Swirl removal, minor or major?
Maybe the grooves reduce heat build up, less product buildup on the pad surface, or the hex design offer better levels of cut/performance due to design etc.. (or whatever else the manufacturer can claim)
I have only ever used CG Hex Logic pads, I wouldn't know how they compare with pads from different manufacturers though in terms of like-for-like cut and density
