Alloy Wheels Purchase

Looking to purchase some Wolfrace Poison 5 spoke alloys or something similar for my wife’s Fiesta.
Wheelbase at Oldham have them in stock. Anyone purchased from them or know any other good company to deal with please.
Thanks
Dave

Have used them, great service, arrived quick and extremely impressive packaging.

I hope you don't end up having a problem like this guy did

https://www.fiatforum.com/garages/43...oys-avoid.html

It seems strange to me that the bolt holes don't always line up on 3rd party wheels.

Dave I wouldn't worry to much about that one bad review because I've used them twice in the last three years bud and their customer service was spot on. Their walk showroom is good to and they don't mind you taking any wheel/alloy out to see what it looks like next to your car.

I wouldn't either but it was the fact he mentioned the bolt holes didn't line up. Possible I suppose if he didn't check properly if they would fit.

Do you think you would get away with doing it four times?

Wheelbase have been on the go for years.

Wolfrace wheels aren't very good quality.

The bolts didn't line up because the wheels were made in a standard 4x100mm pattern and fiat ( and Alfa and lancia used to ) use a 4x98mm pcd, so to get around the issue they use a 'wobble' bolt. The bolt doesn't wobble, but instead of a taper machines into the head they use a tapered washer which is free to move relative to the bolt body. The taper washer sits flat in the taper on the wheel, the bolt sits slightly offset radially to bolt straight into the hub.

With decent quality bolts they're totally safe. We've used them for the last ten years or so and many tens of thousands of miles to bolt some 4x98 lancia wheels onto a 4x100mm pcd golf.

In a similar way a lot of aftermarket wheels will have the centre hole machines so a set oversize size, and use replaceable plastic spigot rings to make them suitable for a specific application.

Why don't you look out for a set on the Bay or Gumtree and if needs be treat them to a refurb?
