Nice work David! Make sure to put a video of the Miltek de-cat when its fitted

Itching to get mine back on the road, had a rather bad set back last night involving my braking system. Trying to trace the cause, so far it could be master cylinder, ABS unit or main brake lines to the front. Was trying to bleed brakes from 7-11.30pm last night.

Having a weekend off the car to regroup and get a fresh head before I tackle it again, else ill be putting a hammer through my windscreen lol!

The decat is the wrong one Gutted

Car now SORN, odd bits to do over the coming months, main one being a wheel refurbishment.

In the mean time work has started on the other halves Clio 182.

Car went away in the garage a couple of months back without a clean, I managed to find a couple of hours to roll it out and give it a much needed wash.

I really need to replace the rear window badges and REALLY want to get the wheels refurbished.

I have asked the most recommend company 'Lepsons' for a quote and it looks like it will cost around the £400 mark:

The total cost to refurbish your 17" Alloy wheels including VAT will be approximately £375.60 ( this price will include a weld or straighten to each of your wheels should it be needed).

This price is approx as we have not seen your wheels in the flesh as yet. There is no charge for our courier service at this time as long as you do not live in Scotland !

Anyway few photos of the clean: (Friend brought his tidy Clio 182 over for a clean as well)

Yeah this is where my real time and effort goes

Not much left on the Clio 182 now nor the FRP, bar work that I cannot do (Painting).

So really need that Clio 172 Cup as a new project

Right well what an evening I had, had a league badminton match about 50 mins from where I live, and it goes through Cheddar Gorge which I would add is an AWESOME road, so I thought good chance to use the FRP, so good to take it on on a really good run, so much more confidence in it than the Clio 182 (have however been driving it a lot longer, and the FRP gives soo much grip), anyway on the way back heard a loud scraping noise, pull over look under the car and the centre section of the exhaust has sheered off, was in the middle of no where 6 miles from home with no phone signal, This is where the importance of mentioning badminton came in, after scratching my head and swearing a lot a had an idea to snap one of my older racquets and managed to wedge it down the centre section and have enough over hang just to rest nicely in the Cat. couldn’t believe it worked, got me to my mates unit where I picked up my Cup 172, so looks like new cat is required, no doubt expensive.
