Looking for my first DA polisher

Hi guys and girls

I've been a member for ages but never actually used the forum until now. I've begun my own cleaning/ detailing business for a select few customers and feel I'm ready to go into machine polishing.

I'm just after some advice as to the best reasonably priced starter kit/ polisher

I'm currently looking at the Das-6 pro? Budget wise these seem to be reasonable and I'll be using it 4/5 times a month.

Advice would be appreciated

Thanks, Sam

DAS-6 is a very good machine. Never used the PRO version so I can't comment. As with any machine, even if it's a DA and not a rotary, just take your time when using it and watch a ton of YouTube videos and read various material to help you learn technique.

Great machine polisher for starting out.
Buy it from clean your car and use the code DAS6GROUPBUY for £15 off.
One of my best purchases.
You might need something more substantial like a rupes or flex if you are using it regularly.

Thanks for the advice guys, seems like a decent buy to be honest, I'll probably sort this out today. A discount is always welcome!

Garage
Remember you’re going to need a variety of pads and polishes to deal with different hardness paint from different manufacturers.

Everyone has their favourites of course!

PB recommended the DAS Pro with the Meguirs DAMF pads n polish kit for my first foray into DA polishing in 2010. Good value and with 5' and 3' plates n pads, suitable for most jobs.

Simple 2 stage kit was easy to use and gave good (quickish) results for an first timer, without scaring myself.

My first DAMF efforts. Was harder physical work than I envisaged. I was chuffed with the results. Nanolex coating:
