Might look into that, problem is this thing takes somewhere between 17-18litres so cost may be prohibitive. The big attraction is obviously less likelihood of head stud corrosion.

Very nice

I looked at T5's, but from a budget point of view that would have meant me having to sell my Ibiza and using the van as a daily, and I think I'd miss having a silly hot hatch to tear about in day to day lol

Yeah know what you mean, i've always had hot hatch type cars, Pug Gti's, Golf GTi's, Impreza Turbo's, VRS's etc.

Sold the last one to get into camping etc....So now have a bangernomics Merc A160 Auto. (1 owner since new MY2000) was only £800 and drives ok but slow. The VW is now the toy that takes all my money lol.

I'm wondering if such thing as a 'cheap car' exists anymore! I've just spent a fortune the last few months overhauling my Ibizas suspension (there's a thread in here), and technically my toy is my Fastback (thread for that also floating around on here), but I'm hoping those two will be sorted soon so I can concentrate on getting this where I want it to be
