Filthy Sportage gets tidied up.

As with my previous thread, this was a quick tidy up job for a family member using limited equipment and basic product.

The main aim was to rid the car of the massive amounts of tar spotting all over the bodywork footwells and inner pillars!

There were also masses of mud accumulated in the wheel arches.which took some shifting.

The paint wasn't overly bad underneath the tar,

Simple detergent, de-tar, rewash with MEGS gold class, dried and a layer of SRP applied

Wheels were cleaned with AS smart wheels, de-tarred and tyres dressed with MEGS endurance.

Turtle wax bumper and tyre gel was used on exterior plastic.

All glass cleaned with newspaper ( I find it great ) and pound store glass cleaner.

Interior was vacuumed with a Kirby ( great piece of kit), and just given a general wipe down. The pedal box area got a thorough scrubbing.

No afters of the interior as the iPhone battery let me down.

Again, it's just a basic job using simple products and all done by hand.

Looking forward to buying some decent products (Tardis, claybar, G101, IronX) and a DA polisher this week.

I enjoy doing this as a hobby, so I may as well invest in some proper product.

Before.... The car doesn't appear overly bad in some before pictures, this may be down to my phone pictures/ photography skills, but the turnaround was fairly decent when seen in person.....

The entire sides and rear was covered in tar up to around four inches below the windows......

Some afters...........

Quite happy overall, more of a thorough wash than a "detail".

Nice work.
I misread the tire type first.
It was City Walker and not City Wa*ker
