Finding something from my childhood

Hi All,

With my own little 9 month old daughter now, I remembered a poem book I used to have when I was a kid in about 1993/1994.

It had cheeky poems, mum can remember it was apparently written by teachers from Yorkshire apparently?

One of the poems I remember was called something like the traffic light pick about people picking their bogies at traffic lights and thinking it was hilarious when I was 5.

Firstly, anybody have a clue what I'm going on about... 2nd are their any forums or places I can go to see if I can track it down?

I think I've managed to find them!

I believe it's Paul Cookson and David Harmer, there could have been more but the bit mum remembered was true, They were/are teachers from Doncaster.

I've emailed both to see what the old books where, this would have been at the very start of their careers as poem writers.

Congratulations! I wanted to track down some old books a few years ago and the site below had 5 of the 6 I wanted:

https://www.worldofbooks.com/

I just ran a search on there for Paul Cookson and it has 44 returns - two books called Silly Poems and Disgusting Poems. £2.45 each - are they the ones?

I am sure there are other sites too if this one fails but it might be worth trying it when you have all the details
