Which Wax

Hi all

So I have decided I am going to do one panel at a time as I am not well enough to do the entire car all at once. It was machine polished 6 months ago so it largely swirl free
.
I will, of course, wash the car entirely first, then work on a single panel or two. Now can you please tell me if this is right?

After the wash.
Clay using a lube
Wipe off with IPA, or wash off?
Polish with my Das6 Pro (it doesn't have swirls so will just use the Menzerna compounds 3500 OR 3800???) Which one?
Wipe off with IPA
Use Poorboys Black Hole to cover any small scratches,
Now, this is also where I am stuck. It is a Black Passat so which would give a shinier look, the FK1000P or the Fusso Soft 99. To ass to that question protection is important too as if I do a panel at a time it won't be getting re0done for 12 months.

I appreciate the advice, thank you.

Ideally chemical decon before clay. No need to ipa after clay. Fusso is very durable but I'd advise against the black hole if putting fusso down as it can be a fussy sod when layered atop some products. Black hole and finish kare if you want to use the black hole. I'd personally skip the black hole since the paint should be pretty good given it's history and what you plan on doing.

Super, thanks Luke. What do you suggest for the chemical decon before the clay?

Luke will be referring to a tar remover and a fallout remover.

There are many different options and recommendations if you do a search of the forums.

Me personally I use Autosmart Tardis for tar removal and Bilt Hamber Korrosol for fallout but as I say you'll get many recommendations on here for them.
