Paint chip on UNC-r

Another UNC-r issue. I have a stone chip through or under the UNC-r coating. Is it a simple case of just painting over with my chip paint or do I need some other process?

im not sure how well the paint will bond to the area that joins the coating, im not sure but it might resist bonding. will be worth waiting for some other answers as not something ive experienced myself
