That will be awesome when it is finished. Love it.

Have you seen Rich from Performance Autoworks "Mr X" 1st Generation Prelude build on Facebook? That will give you some inspiration on a battle with rust.

The S type was an old project.
I did wonder why it was closed.

Disgraceful for Rolls to build such rust buckets.

However, it will be a great car when you're finished.

Best of luck!

Chrome!

The chrome on this car is in a sorry state.

However i have managed to tidy up the front bumper!!

A few before's.

And some afters!!

This was achieved with some G3 and a microfiber cloth!!

I know what you mean but only you can be the judge.

There is probably a bigger RR premium on stuff than even for an E Type. And so much is hand made by really skilful craftsmen - if a BMW 5 series suffers a panel mishap, it really is quite easy to find a bit from another and bolt it on; with a Rolls Royce each panel was hand fettled into place by someone who had probably been doing it for forty years. So the replacement has to be done the same way. Rinse and repeat for eighty bits?

I just thank my lucky stars that William Lyons was a skinflint who didn't spend a penny more than he had to to make his cars. They must be ten times simpler than a Rolls Royce!
