Lovely SE mate, you can't beat having a good garage setup. Its taken me 7 years to collect all the tools i have. Before you know it I'm sure you will have your own little setup!

So this happened

Radiator decided to no longer hold coolant!

So got the old VRS in the garage and started the fun job of changing the radiator!

Start of the process!

Getting close

Get the radiator out to be greated by a right mess of broken wires / poor previous repairs!

Starting to get a good collection of parts

More broken wires found

start of the repair process.

Correctly soldiered and heat shrinked.

All wires re wrapped with decent loom tape, hopefully protect them for years to come!

While the radiator was out i decided to give the bay a jetwash and jetwash the waterways / pipework out.

Nice to get those bits of horrible wiring sorted. There's no such thing as overkill when it comes to a vice! (So long as your bench is up to the job ) And fixing rust has got to be the most satisfying job of all

Great thread and excellent work!

Threads like this make me think twice about wanting to sell my Leon and do something similar.

Are you in the Teesside area?
