Totally pointless.

Funny when the stripes arent straight or of equal widths. Clearly not that 'OCD' after all...

Hired a Karcher Puzi 100 today to clean home carpets and obviously decided to play with the cars before tackling the house!

Was expecting the carpets and matts to be dirty but grossed myself out. Much better now, some 3 hours later (Mrs car was borderline not for human use).

I don't think I'll be winning any awards for uniform stripes but couldn't resist having a go in mine...

Its just a pity the first one in from door bulges the third one changes width. Fourth is bent and nine disappears half way. Apart from that nope still prefer nice paper mats.

I was just peeing around seeing if could actually do them in my car...carpets are well and truly hidden by the matts.

The thing I like about stripes is that it's like giving someone the opportunity to make the first footprint in virgin snow.
It like a little calling card that says this is how detailed I've been with your pride and joy. Go an get it mucky again as I know you will and ill do it again for you when you need it.
It's the details you can see which tell people that the details they can't see have been tended to as well.

You could always do it with a really really hot iron or maybe a blow torch

Or maybe it's more of a 'I popped down the pub for a couple of swift ones so didn't correct the sills. Hopefully by spending an hour on your mats you won't notice.........'
