Could have been worse, it could have been your pride and joy. Paint must have been mega-thin!

Some great improvements already though. It's like a different car.

Yeah I know, still annoying though. Ultimately itís only a run about that cost less than a grand so never going to be perfect just stupidly cross with myself.

Done a temporary repair with some touch up. Been looking on the bay and can get a replacement fairly cheap so if it bugs me too much I just change the wing.

Home now, will put some tyre shine on and then Iím done. Took the wind out my sails with me balls up so thatís it for today.

Anyway some bits corrected before my melt down!:

Dash camera arrived and is all fitted with the wires tucked etc. However, it seems that the fuse for the cigarette lighter has blown, so will get that sorted this weekend. Quite frustrating as it thought this would be a quick job but nothing seems to be at the minute.

Please excuse the horrendous photos!

Boot liner has arrived so thatís in and have fitted the new rear wiper. Had some free time on lunch and as I tend to, ended up on eBay so ordered a logo for the key which seems to have lost it original.

Lastly, Iíve have had quotes for both the wings to be painted and am happy with the cost. Iíll mostly likely get them done in November, it would be sooner but having our bathroom refitted in October so doing my best to be frugal!

Thatís about it for now.

Thanks again.

Small update.

Fuse all changed so the 12v / cigarette lighter is now working, meaning the dash cam is. Only annoyance is thatís itís constant rather than with the ignition so will get the dash cam hard wired at some point. This also means the socket it free and looks less of a mess.

(Time and date now change!)

Also still disgusted with myself for the wing incident and canít bare to look it, as just makes me cross. So booked it in for Tuesday for both to be painted. So much for being frugal until the bathrooms done ah!

Otherwise, fitted mats, boot liner and key logo all arrived and in there rightful place. Slowly becoming a tidy car.

The wind is being done today so started the prep. As mentioned before my father in the motor trade so got someone through him sorting it.

Both the wheel arch liners are off and cleaned out behind them. One the of the wings has a little bit more rust than I thought but still only surface so will be sorted later.

Taking the wheel arch liner off is something that I think people too often forget to do, the amount of sh*t that gets behind them is mental, so I always class it as preventive maintenance.

Will get some photos on later once their done.

Good progress. Don't be hard on yourself with that wing, if it was that badly painted the DA would have taken it off as well.

Those seats, get some sort of scotchguard on them, they are notorious for stains, I have one of these shape focus so know only too well.

Thank you.

All done; pleased with the match! Just need to polish the front bumper (by hand youíll be happy to hear! ) to get the panels looking good next to each other. Also need to remove some polish residue.

As always thanks for reading comments always welcome.

Just remembered I also need to reattach some trim on the bottom of the wing, but will give that a day or two to be safe.
