It's in alright nick on the exterior and interior. Engine is sweet as a nut with 45k on and rarely been hammered by the mature lady owner

Engine Bay, Battery Tray, Sills and some underside parts will need attention with the welder but it's eventually going to get a full on restoration back to original condition. It might one day make Concourse but we'll see

Reminds me of when I passed my test in my youth. I would have loved an SR but couldn't stretch to the cost of buying one. The GSi was out of sight for insurance reasons but I thought they were great. Always reminds me of one in 'Max power' in a nice metallic Blue. Think it had the Courtenay wheels, Loved it. lol.

Great story...so far. Can't wait for the new updates. Congratulations so far.

Great cars back together again, remember reading the Sport story with interest....but to reunite 2 "stable" partners is quite an achievement, well done and look forward to the progress threads

I couldn't get to Sheffield quick enough to view and collect the car! It was brilliant to get the 2 cars back together although the GSi will defo need a bare shell rebuild..

..But thats what the Winter is for!

Progress will start as soon as I have all the necessary panels to do the job. So far I have a complete GM front panel & crossmember, 2 full GM Inner Wings with Turrets, a new GM passenger door & the option of a GM full doorskin, depending how bad the doors are once I strip them.

Also got 2 new GM 1/4 panels but it's had recent rear arch replacements so I'm not sure whether to put the 1/4s on, I probably will though.

Other than that, it will require 2 sill panels and a Battery Tray then wee bits and bobs underneath.

I'll be looking for 2 new GM MK2 front wings as well to replace the reproduction items fitted as the panel gaps are shocking!

A brief update but very minimal progress; Me & my Dad took the GSi & Sport along to a wee local show along with some of the guys from the JOV Scotland Region;

My 2 full GM Inner Wings arrived as well - Which now means I need to source a Battery Tray & 2 Full Sill panels to hopefully complete the panel work - If GM front wings come up, I will snap them up as well;

I also have this GM Front Panel to be fitted as well;

I have a full GM N/S Door as well but I think I'll keep that for the Sport and maybe put one of my GM Door Skin panels on the GSi

That's all for now, more as it happens
