I've got the same ones in my car, you don't really notice them any more (they do stink though!).

Rubber matts definitely are not the prettiest things that's for sure.

I agree. A car of that class needs classy carpet mats to suit.

OP has said he's got the carpet ones still (as do I, but not in a car this nice), I just run the rubber ones as it makes it much easier to keep clean (and then helps having nice carpet mats come sale time).

What I do like about the rubber mats is that I don't worry about getting the in the car with wet or muddy shoes. I always used to grimace a bit when I got in to my car with the carpet mats in there thinking "eurgh, going to have to shampoo these soon".

That's exactly it, the AMG mats I have for the car are absolutely mint and the plushest mats I've had in a car. If there's ever a slim chance muddy shoes end up in the CLS, these rubber mats will just wipe clean. I was actually given a set of non-AMG Merc mats for it from someone who was throwing them out, they're very very hard wearing, course material and coincidentally fit in my E-Class so they're in there!! haha

I also had the CLS out for a bit of a drive today, not mega miles but just enough to put a smile on my face.

Also, since Photobucket stitched us all up, I've uploaded some pictures elsewhere.

Few shots from out and about.

And here we see the CLS63 in it's natural habitat! haha

Here's a clip to please the ears
