Moving on from the warranty debate - He's not even drove it yet!

Make sure you get both keys - mine only had one and cost me £180 for a new one only available to order from BMW against the chassis number.
It is nice to have the seats, mirrors and radio presets adjust automatically with the key though

And ask if they have the original mats for it too

Warranty I'm going for £112 so thats that sorted, for now anyway.

Yeah got both keys, ooo didn't realise that, nice touch.

I can see it has mats in the car but not sure if they are the original, did the original have M5 logo or something different to a standard E60 model?

I do love this E60 M5's, but for me I would like it in the touring.

Enjoy the car, seems a few folk are tad negative on here, but there also some sound advice too.

Some these repair bills must be a typo?!

Can we have more photos please.

I'd looked for the mats on the pics and thought they weren't in

Not sure if they are specific to an M5, I have an E91 Sport Plus so had blue piping and the dealer had removed them for cleaning and never put them back, luckily I noticed before I set off on the 255 mile journey home

If only! put a new dual mass flywheel and clutch in mine £715 from a local clutch specialist, double that at a dealer and you'd be lucky to get that covered on a warranty

Yeah as soon as I have collected the car, I'll take plenty and share them, I am sure there will be a few bits I will want to give a good clean, probably leather care the seats and remove wheels to clean the inside of them and clean up the arches.

Cant bloody wait!

Awesome car mate. Warranty is worth it ( albeit expensive ) for peace of mind. Enjoy.

They seem rather fragile cars?

Was that on an E60 M5? That doesn't sound bad, my Leon had a new DMF and clutch and that was £600-650.

The original would have had the M5 logo stitched in. Not sure if they are still available or not but they were a frightening price from the dealers. When I picked my E60 up from BM the mats were missing and they refused to replace them as the salesman couldn't get the authorisation from his boss at nearly £150 for a front pair!
