Flex XFE 15 150 Random Orbit Polisher (Battery)

Just noticed this guys, I love the idea of no cords.

What you think?

Sure a full battery only lasts 35-40min hmmmmm. I’m in the market for a new DA polisher and I am considering flex however what annoys me (correct me if I’m wrong) is you need two separate machines for 150 and 80mm pads. So doubles your cost. What’s that all about?

Meant to say my Dodo juice DA can do both sized backing plates and has done me proud. Fancy more cutting power.

I like that. It comes with 2 batteries so shouldn't be a problem. Only downside is the £529 price tag.

I will not be buying these don't see the point when there are power points and extension leads at hand for me, when I get round to detailing again.

Ultimate finish are doing a deal of £75 off. I like the battery idea however don’t like the fact of having to buy two. Unless you know if you can change backing plate sizes?

I have the Flex XFE 15 150 but you need a 125mm backing plate.

Can you change it to a smaller plate or do you need a separate machine for smaller pads?

5in is the smallest. That aside this is an incredibly smooth and quiet machine. A great piece of engineering.

Get a long throw for the more cutting power you're after and keep your DoDo for the smaller pads in tighter areas. That will work really well.

Thanks for that Leslie. Wish you could get a machine like my dodo machine that allows you to change pad sizes. If flex did that with a carry case then I’m in. I’d convert my drill and impact wrench to flex if they did. Goes well with my OCD
